SCREW DRIVE RC-SV RHEOSTATS

The RC-SV single element linear rheostat consist of a resistive wire (wrapped in tight coils on a tubular ceramic support) on which a cursor slides by means of an endless control screw. The protective case is made in such a way as to prevent accidental contact with live parts and can be grounded through a dedicated terminal. Rheostats have three terminals for connection in series or through a potentiometer to the circuits you want to regulate. The resistive element is normally of a linear type with wire or constant sectional rectangular wire wrapping; when needed, it can be of a graduated type, that is, made with multiple sectors of wrapping each with wire of decreasing diameter. Rheostats with graduated wrapping are identified by the acronyms RC-SGV.
